Count the listings against the age.
A car that has crossed the block several times in a couple of years is being passed along, not driven. The Ghibli above did it 22 times. |

Compare the odometer between sales.
Readings should only ever climb. A number that drops between two auction dates is a rollback, and the auction record is usually where it surfaces first. |

Read the damage flags, not just the prices.
A car listed with front-end or flood damage and later sold as clean has been repaired and put back on the road. The gap between those two prices tells you how much work went into it. |
